At Compassionate Care, my mission is to provide compassionate and individualized home care services to my clients. I promise to take care of your loved ones like they were my own family. I strive to optimize their quality of life and help them maintain autonomy in the comfort of their homes. This enhances the meaning of their life and illness. My focus is on reducing distress and anxiety for both the patient and family. I can achieve this by listening to the current situation and empowering you with the skills to take care of your family member keeping them home safely as long as possible.
I offer a wide range of services in the Cincinnati area, including at-home and in-facility skilled aide services. I offer hospice care, consulting, skills training for caregivers, respite care, safety checks for the home, assisting in the transition from home to long-term care, music therapy (great for Dementia/Alzheimer's and agitated patients), and Swedish housecleaning (used when patient is at end of life, or moving.) I am also a Death Doula, and Reiki Master. I have extensive experience in the fields of hospice, long term care, dementia, Alzheimer's, MS, ALS, and palliative care. I will work with you and your family to create a personalized care plan that meets your unique needs.
My name is Rebecca Valenzuela. I have been working as an State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) since 2016. I started working as an aide because of my grandmother, Lucy. She had subpar care that resulted in her passing from neglect and it inspired me to be a passionate patient advocate. I watched as she lost all of her freedoms and belongings and had to rely on the kindness of strangers to be taken care of. It made me appreciate the importance of companionship. I understand the perspective of both the patient and the family member. The experience helped me see each patient as an individual, with their own story and needs. I see the physical, social, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care as being equally important. And I believe that every patient is a person until their last breath.
I currently work in hospice, but I also have years of experience with long term care, dementia care, Alzheimer's, MS, and palliative care. I give quality, inclusive service to my in-patient families and patients, and want to offer my skills, perspective and wisdom to those wanting to stay at home. I pride myself in empowering families with the skills to do care as long as they can to keep patients home safely, and to give caretakers peace of mind. My priority is to assess your situation and offer the skills and knowledge that I have to help you. I am immunized, and have a background check through hospice.
When my wife’s lung cancer was deemed terminal, she was transferred to hospice. We were blessed to have Rebecca Valenzuela as her aide. I consider Rebecca an angel sent by God in this extremely difficult time and we could not have been more blessed. Throughout my wife’s time at hospice Rebecca provided excellent care in the most professional, compassionate, caring and loving way. When I needed to go home and rest a bit, I knew my wife was in good hands and receiving the best of care. At the end Rebecca was there with my wife, son, and me. Rebecca prayed with us and sang a comforting song to help us all. I cannot more highly recommend her as a caregiver. James R. Lee
If you are looking for a very kind, compassionate, caring person for your loved one's care, this is the place you need to be looking. Rebecca took care of my mom at hospice and she made the entire situation bearable. She is so friendly, very competent, and anticipates what you need. She sang a hymn to my mom that calmed her and me, incredible voice. One of the most genuine human beings I have ever met. Love her so very much!

My father went into hospice last spring. It was a difficult time to say the least. We met with several caretakers and nurses, including Rebecca. I don't think she realizes what a blessing she was to all of us, not just my dad. She treated him with dignity, respect and love. Which in turn made the family more relaxed. We needed that during such a trying time. In addition to being an extremely professional and nurturing caretaker, Rebecca sings like an angel. One day returning to hospice, I heard her singing to a patient outside. I asked her if she would sing to my dad. She did, and my dad opened his eyes for the first time in several days. If you are in need of home care, Rebecca would be my choice. She was even gracious enough to sing for my wedding.
I have been privileged to work with Rebecca and can recommend her to anyone to care for their loved one as they would want to be cared for.
Rebecca Valenzuela trained me at my first job as a nurse aide. There is no one better to take care of your loved ones. She truly goes above and beyond for her patients and their families.
I worked with Rebecca in an inpatient hospice unit. Families and Community liasons continue to ask for her as she made an incredible impact on those she cared for. I highly recommend Rebecca for providing compassionate and quality care.
Rebecca was recommended to us by family. She is wonderful. My husband has MS, Multiple Sclerosis. She comes in the morning and exercises his legs and helps him with his shower and dressing. Her medical background enables her to know how to move and lift him. She also gives us tips on how to improve his life. We would definitely recommend her. As my husband’s caregiver she has been a tremendous help to me.
We consider her family!
